As the Director for Japan Collaboration Sales, you’ll be required to develop Cisco’s ability to identify, quantify, qualify and maximize Cisco’s opportunity addressing customer Collaboration needs. You will be the Japan go-to leader on Collaboration technologies and solutions, engaging internal resources and partners including Marketing, Partners and Cisco business units. You are responsible for and measured against the revenue generated in addition to motivating and inspiring a cross-functional team of employees to achieve a defined set of short and long term objectives.

You will:

  • Build and execute an innovative joint long-range business plan for Japan Collaboration Business by demonstrating PSS leadership and involving appropriate partners. Develop Cisco deliverables and routes to market to the point of enabling sales orders.

  • Understand, articulate and position both internally and externally Cisco's end-to-end Collaboration Architecture and Services incorporating Software and services.

  • Develop Go-to-Market strategies to grow collaboration across large accounts, SMB and Partners. Using various channels, marketing and field sales force teams

  • Deliver business value to select opportunities for the account, partner, eco-system and Cisco account team. Grow, track and convert pipeline. Establish beach-head reference customers.

  • Directly engage on selected major accounts and opportunities where required, whilst allowing the local account team to maintain overall ownership. Influence parties where needed to remove obstacles and secure profitable business for Cisco.

  • Incubate and cultivate senior level relationships with key customers, partners and eco-system vendors to executive level across the region.

  • Build and lead a strong team using technical and business insight to align business drivers to Cisco solutions. Strong experience leading geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams.

  • Demonstrate effective skills to influence and negotiate with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy. Influence via press, media and industry events where required.

  • Establish a strong team, collaborative market development and selling approach. Lead, influence and mentor sales teams to increase their effectiveness in selling Collaboration solutions. Take a lead role with senior management, peers, partners, company and customers in progressing Cisco’s success in collaboration solutions.

You will work with Executive Leadership, Regional, Theater and Country Sales Leaders to shape/drive top priorities and core initiatives focused on long-range growth and profitability.

Who You Are

You are recognized as an inspiring leader who is able to manage team members with multiple levels of seniority management, build and lead teams that are diverse and geographically distributed as well as grow and transition team members.

You have a successful track record of building long term, trusting relationships with peers, executive leaders and customers allowing you to effectively influence with your good communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal which gives you an edge to create an impact. All of this, combined with your innate ability to balance desired capabilities end-state within program/environment constraints and with a pragmatic lens makes you an excellent fit for this role.

Who you are:

  • You hold a BA/BS degree, MBA or graduate degree preferred

  • You have at least 10-15 years sales experience preferably within collaboration technology such as Video, Unified communication and conferencing

  • You have 10+ years of sales management experience building and managing in diverse team environments with a hands on leadership style

  • Rooted with strong technical architecture sales background and you are considered a knowledgeable and trusted advisor, and with senior level management at our Partners and Customers.

  • You are able to build strong internal and customer focused relationships

  • You are a strong leader with vision and strategy development experience.

  • You have strong presentation, communication and influence skills.
