Immigration Resource Center Case Manager
FCA is excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Immigration Resource Center Case Manager. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a Spanish Speaking Case Manager!
The Immigration Resource Center provides immigrant and refugee individuals and families with a broad array of case management services: resource and referral information, child care services, family support and eased access for legal help with critical immigrant concerns.
Responsibilities
Provide strength-based, culturally competent services to immigrant population seeking referrals and resource information. Conduct and participate in outreach and tabling events in the community.
Provide ongoing case management with a focus on screening and making appropriate referrals to address individual and family's needs in the following domains: education, health, mental health, legal/immigration proceedings, substance abuse, criminal/juvenile justice, child enrichment activities.
Assist Coop Nursery staff and when needed, provide crisis intervention services directly; connect family to services to ensure safety and well-being in a crisis situation.
Maintain regular and timely communication with program supervisors around any issues concerning the child's safety, stability, or well-being in the placement.
Participate in ongoing supervision and inform program supervisor about trends, challenges, and successes in working with the population.
Participate in required trainings on cultural competence, service provision, and program policies and procedures.
Assume other tasks or responsibilities assigned to ensure the effective operation of the program.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required.
Fluency in Spanish required.
At least one year experience working with child welfare programs.
Knowledge of and/or experience working with refugee or immigrant families preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Valid and clean New York State Driver's License.
Additional Information
Salary: $24.80/hr
Schedule: (M-F), evening and weekend hours, as needed
This role is full-time (35 hours), Non-exempt
