The Intranet Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to leverage our firm's intranet platform as a key tool for seamless internal communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among our lawyers and staff across multiple offices and jurisdictions. This is a pivotal role in overseeing the development, maintenance and optimization of our US intranet platform, helping to shape the future of the firm's intranet ecosystem. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strategic Planning Collaborate with senior leadership, marketing stakeholders, and key functional areas to deliver the firm's intranet strategy and objectives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and marketing priorities. Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, best practices, and opportunities for innovation in intranet management within the legal industry. Content Strategy and Implementation Implement a content strategy for the US intranet, including the creation, curation, and dissemination of updated, compelling and relevant content to inform and engage. Partner with stakeholders across the firm to source, develop, and publish relevant content. Oversee the organization and management of content on the intranet, including documents, policies, procedures, announcements, and resources. Develop and enforce content governance policies and standards, maintaining appropriate documentation, to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency across the platform. Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing by promoting the use of the intranet as a central hub for communication, document sharing, and project collaboration. Train and support content Intranet contributors, providing guidance on best practices for creating and publishing content on the intranet. Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging the intranet to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall employee experience. User Experience Optimization Lead efforts to enhance the user experience (UX) of the intranet platform, ensuring intuitive navigation, accessibility, a robust search function and mobile responsiveness. With IT, regularly assess the functionality, usability, and performance of the intranet. Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements such as new features, tools, and technologies. Metrics and Analytics Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track usage and measure the effectiveness of intranet initiatives in providing critical information, driving employee engagement, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. Generate regular reports and dashboards, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Change Management and Adoption Develop and execute change management strategies to drive adoption of the new intranet platform across the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Collaborate with IT and L&D to provide training, support, and resources such as tutorials and documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for user inquiries and feedback related to the intranet. Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and industry benchmarks in intranet management. Qualifications and job-related skills Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, information technology, business administration, or a related field is required. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CMK, ITIL) is a plus. Proven experience (5+ years) in intranet management, content management, digital marketing, or internal communications, preferably within the legal industry / professional services. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable intranet initiatives and improvements. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving projects to completion on time and within budget. Proficiency in intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Confluence) and content management systems (CMS), with hands-on experience in customization, configuration, and administration. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of legal industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements is preferred. Familiarity with digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and UX/UI design principles is a plus. Proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages and frameworks is a plus.
