This 3-credit class is offered in the spring. Key Responsibilities: * 60% Provide classroom instruction for an undergraduate course in the Sustainability minor - Environmental Justice, SUST 3017 * 25% Maintain office hours and meet with individual students * 15% Evaluate student performance and provide final grades Required Qualifications: - PhD in environmental science/environmental studies with a policy management focus, or related field - Experience and strong ability in research, writing and analysis in an academic or similar setting - Familiarity with basic concepts of sustainability as it applies to the environment Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working/teaching with culturally diverse students - Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the collegiate level - Familiarity with University of Minnesota tools such as Canvas and other support systems (onestop, libraries, disability services, women's center, etc.) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
