Primary Responsibilities

The Pricing Strategy Program Manager will analyze data to identify trends in price elasticity, providing insights to optimize promotional plans and meet company KPI targets. This role will create recommendations and collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate machine learning insights for effective pricing decision making. Additionally, this role will serve as subject matter expert on pricing, lead testing strategy and stay updated on industry trends to enhance elasticity modeling effectiveness.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create strategic pricing recommendations utilizing industry trends, statistical modeling, and professional expertise.

  • Build, streamline, and communicate pricing and promotional recommendations to cross functional senior leadership.

  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and patterns related to price elasticity of demand.

  • Develop insights and recommendations on promotional plans that meet or exceed company KPI targets, including revenue and margin.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate elasticity insights with other business models to ensure business strategies and decision-making processes are achieved.

  • Lead testing strategy, design and analyze tests to evaluate effectiveness of promotional strategies.

  • Subject matter expert on elasticity of demand, including strong support of interpreting analytic outputs to draw actionable conclusions.

  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in econometrics and demand forecasting to continuously improve elasticity modeling effectiveness.

Position Requirements

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools such as Excel and PowerBI.

  • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and extract actionable insight while translating that into storytelling.

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in promotional analytics, planning, retail analytics, or related roles in retail industry

Working Conditions

  • Limited travel as required by business needs

  • Must be able to work extended hours as required, including evenings and weekends

  • Normal physical exertion within office environment
