As a Senior Project Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for managing engagement and community outreach efforts on moderate to advanced engineering and planning projects ranging from studies, planning, construction, and other industry-related efforts. Assist with managing team workload, aid in proposals, and build client relationships.
What you will be doing:
Collaborates with clients and stakeholders to develop and lead outreach efforts for planning, landscape architecture, and transportation projects.
Leads public engagement planning and development of engagement tools, including content development and coordination of production.
Develops process and product improvement initiatives.
Provides project management oversight for initiatives.
Assists in business development strategies for services and works with marketing staff on strategies and proposal content.
Plans and attends public meetings and events.
Travel to facilities and other projected related locations as necessary.
Maintains confidentiality of company and client related information.
Provides verbal and written responses to public inquiries received by the project team and client
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field from an accredited College or University with five or more years’ experience in writing marketing communications such as such as press releases, newsletters, infographics, email, website content, and social media preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong graphic design capabilities and advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign).
Full understanding of engineering, construction, and planning industry, knowledge of marketing/client databases, and knowledge of proposal processes.
Strong skills in client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
Possess a valid driver’s license as travel to various job sites may be required.
