Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency Staff Nurse RN (0.8 FTE) - Cancer Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota
*SUMMARY* **
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Cancer Center at the Clinic and Specialty Center in downtown Minneapolis. This position is part-time role working day shift (8 shiftsper pay period,8-hour days, no weekends).
/**This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow./
A $4,000 hiring incentive is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).

*RESPONSIBILITIES*
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
_QUALIFICATIONS_ Minimum Qualifications * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota * 1 year of current oncology professional nursing (RN) experience * OCN certified or able to obtain certification within 2 years of hire date * Chemo administration experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in area of clinical specialty
- Chemo/Biotherapy course
- Inpatient Oncology experience
- BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
