Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency Staff Nurse RN (0.9 FTE) - Whittier Clinic in Minneapolis, Minnesota
*SUMMARY* **We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Whittier Clinic in Minneapolis, MN. This position is part-time (0.9 FTE) and will work 4-5 shifts per week (9 shifts per pay period). This role will primarily work days but also rotates evening and weekend shift responsibilities. A $4,000 hiring incentive is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).
*RESPONSIBILITIES* Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
_QUALIFICATIONS:_ Minimum Qualifications: * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota * 2 years RN experience in a primary care clinic setting
Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in area of clinical specialty * Bilingual in Spanish or Somali preferred * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
