PACIV Operations Manager in Miramar, Puerto Rico

We pride ourselves on innovation, excellence, and customer commitment. PACIV Puerto Rico is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager, reporting to the President, to lead operations of its Puerto Rico office.

Job Description:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall company results of the Puerto Rico office and its related market region.  It will be a key driver behind implementing the Puerto Rico expansion and leading the execution of our global strategic business objectives at a regional level.  The operations manager is a member of a director’s team at PACIV Global Operations.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of the office, all services within its market region, all daily operations including its P&L, related financial objectives, and departmental team leaders.  Responsibilities also include executing necessary business development efforts to attract projects within our core services of process control, automation, instrumentation, and regulatory compliance.  The Operations Manager will be responsible for implementing innovative strategies and tactics continuously to augment employee engagement. 

In addition, the Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of all projects and services delivered within the Biopharmaceutical, Medical Device, Food & Beverage, and Utilities market within the respective region. 

Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Lead the PACIV business strategy and business model by identifying, prioritizing, and building organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes for Puerto Rico’s operation.

  • Manage and lead all departmental leaders and coordinate operations with the VP of Administration who oversees the general office administration, human resources management, recruiting, and accounting.

  • Responsible for the business development efforts, including collaboration with the Business Development Manager, helping to set goals and directives for the region’s Business Development and customer relationships development.

  • Full P & L responsibility for the business including all related financial objectives

  • Develop and deliver annual budget

  • The full responsibility of PACIV’s KPIs

  • Ensure that all associates are working together to achieve business objectives.

  • Accountable for the execution of policies, programs, and standard operating procedures to ensure associate needs are being met through quantifiable practices including positive associate relations, compensation application models, validation of goal setting, career development, and cross-training.

  • Maintain a focus for self, team, and customer base on continuous ongoing learning that will enhance skill set and growth opportunities.

  • Work closely with business directors, associates, and clients to ensure the successful execution of business operations and projects.

  • Oversight of control system projects and their implementation, manage automation team leaders.

  • Foster partnership relationships with strategic business partners to complement business strategic positioning in the industry.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science studies.

  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in managerial positions within regulated industries.

  • Experience in Technology or Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • Experience with full business accountability.

  • Proficient with team leadership and results-driven.

Desired Hard Skill Sets:

  • Strategic planning and implementation for projects within a regulated environment.

  • Business development experience.

  • Control Systems, instrumentation, and regulatory compliance experience.

  • Knowledge of Automation Systems Development Life Cycle (ASDLC) project deliverables such as Requirements, Design, Design Qualification (DQ), Validation, and Test Planning.

Other Requirements:

The job requires on-site presence, remote work is not available.

Travel: 90% of the time within Puerto Rico, 10% other PACIV offices and clients outside P.R.
