Overview
As the primary point of contact between BGS, Regional Planning Commissions (RPC), and municipalities, this position coordinates the functions of the Municipal Energy Resilience Program (MERP) with participating municipalities through extensive education and outreach. The Coordinator collaborates with MERP stakeholders on program development, measurement and verification. Stakeholders include Regional Planning Commissions, Efficiency Vermont, Vermont League of Cities and Towns, Department of Public Service, and municipalities.
This position will support the MERP Building Project Manager, Grants Specialist, and Program Manager to gather information, communicate and coordinate with contractors and field staff, update and enter data, track projects and funding, and generate reports as needed. Municipal contacts may include both individual municipal employees as well as RPC planners. In addition, this position will coordinate and track all energy project applications and funded projects and oversee energy resilience assessments. This position will support the Program Manager in the development of municipal energy management policies and best practices and prepare for legislative testimony.
While this position is based at the BGS offices in Montpelier, teleworking is available for days other than Monday.
Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a standard office setting with some travel to state owned facilities to oversee energy audits required.
