CAE USA INC Business Analyst in Montreal (St. Laurent), Canada

About This Role

A s part of the Civil PMO, the Business Analyst partners with the Civil Program Management team to provide data compilation, analysis and reporting services that enable effective decision-making.

This role has direct communication with senior leadership and will interface with various functions of the organization, including but not limited to: Finance, Sales, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, and IT.

The Business Analyst provides the Civil Program Management team data compilation, analysis, and reporting services to enable informed decision-making in the following domains (not an exhaustive list):

  • Cost Performance/Profitability/GM analysis

  • Product Performance

  • Profiling

  • Ops savings

  • Financial forecasting

  • PRC analysis /ETC cleanup

  • Invoicing

  • Financial topsheets

  • Manloading

  • S&OP

  • Ad-hoc analysis to support business operations

    In addition the Business Analyst will

  • Coordinate and support the CPACS Governances

  • Support the development of tools to visualize and monitor business performance.

  • Review and analyze processes, tools and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Support the maintenance of project databases and ensure data integrity.

    Requirements

  • Bilingual ( French -English)

  • Knowledge of SQL programming.

  • Good knowledge of statistics and excellent analytical skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel: pivot tables and VLOOKUP, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint .. ) and Power BI

  • University degree

  • PMP certification an asset

  • 3+ years of corporate experience in business, financial, data analysis, performance reporting or a combination of relevant professional experience

  • P roficient with ERP system ( P lanisware/ Oracle )

  • Easily adapts to changing priorities

  • Ability for critical thinking

  • Strong attention to detail

  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving

  • Ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from data.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of data

  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified way to various audiences

  • Have a passion for technology to advance automation

  • Strong team spirit, loving challenges, able to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Strong work ethic and initiative
