The role we are offering you:

  • Prepare project engineering test plans.

  • Carry out engineering testing assignments requiring general familiarity with flight simulator simulation techniques.

  • Responsible for the calibration and integration of the visual system

  • Make maximum use of computer tools to perform engineering testing.

  • Report test results and provide recommendations to project team to assess project risks.

  • Use aircraft technical documentation to provide engineering support to software developers, test pilots and customers.

  • Prevent snag migration prior to customer acceptance by identifying and actively participating in the resolution of defects as early as possible during the project execution.

  • Participate in simulator qualification.

  • Represent CAE for simulator qualification issues.

  • Communicate with the qualification authorities to clarify regulation.

  • Undertake independent analysis and provide recommendation to improve the software and hardware development processes.

  • Respond to customers' training-related needs in a courteous and timely manner to ensure that flight training equipment is consistently reliable and available.

  • Perform logistical/administrative duties as required.

  • Standardize the capacity to start the simulation

  • Basic debug

  • Perform diagnostics and cold starts

  • Assigned to well-established products (A320XR, B737XR, etc.)

  • Shift work and international travel required

    Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Knowledge of internal procedures (manufacturing, software, etc.), an asset.

  • At least three years of relevant experience (knowledge of aircraft systems, pilot licence, etc).

  • Ability to learn and apply skills in the flight simulator environment in order to maintain and operate all required equipment.

  • Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong communication skills, particularly for technical information.

  • Able to work alone or as part of a dynamic technical team.

  • Experience in flight simulator or aviation environment an asset.

  • Knowledge of simulator systems, international regulations for flight training devices and the aviation/aerospace business an asset
