Are you looking for a new direct hire position? We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Akron, Ohio. The position involves working in the accounting department, where you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry, and maintaining a robust financial processing system. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills, be a team player, and have strong attention to detail.

This is a permanent position with standard/flexible Monday-Friday business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process invoices and ensure they are coded correctly

• Conduct account reconciliations routinely to maintain accurate records

• Efficiently manage accounts payable and customer credit applications

• Oversee check runs to ensure timely and accurate payments

• Regularly monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and manage financial data

• Resolve any customer inquiries relating to their accounts

• Diligently perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date records

• Assist in invoice processing as needed.

Requirements • A strong understanding and ability to execute account reconciliation tasks.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.

• Experience with check runs.

• Ability to accurately code invoices.

• Proficient in data entry tasks.

• Strong skills in invoice processing.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting.
