Description The department of Athletics at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Information Technology. About the Opportunity The purpose of this position is to provide first, second and third-level technical support, for on-site and some telephone-based technical support in solving significantly complex technical problems involving information technology. Both PC based and Apple computers will be supported by this position along with Cell Phones and Tablets. This position will also be expected to take calls from Staff and Coaches 24/7. Under supervision, this position will research problems and follows process solutions to resolve desktop hardware/software related issues, tests and implements solutions, develops documentation and materials to support business needs in response to user problems and questions regarding their systems. This position will also be responsible for support of Ticket Scanners when needed by the Event staff or Ticket Office. This position will also be on site during all Home Football Games. This position will alternate being on site for all home Men's Basketball Games and also be available to be on site for other events as requested. Wellness programs What You'll Do Follow policies, processes, procedures and associated documentation in compliance with the Information Technology Service Department development and security standards, federal and university privacy, confidentiality, and security guidelines relative to securing personal information (generated, stored and/or transmitted electronically) maintained in supported systems Develop and maintain detailed records and documentation, including: maintenance/error/repair records, development/implementation/performance standards and schedules, system cost estimates and analysis, equipment and software maintenance contracts, etc. Develop, implement and maintain University infrastructure systems and equipment.
