Weld Technician Job Description and Expectations

Safety is everyones responsibility, if you see something, say something. Team member is expected to Maintain a safe and clean work area - pick up trash, sweep, keep aisles and other areas clean of debris. Housekeeping is crucial to a safe workplace; just like safety, housekeeping is everyones responsibility. Team member is expected to wear steel toe boots that cover the ankle, safety glasses and ear plugs are to be worn during any time spent on the shop floor. Face shield is required when grinding.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Weld Technician include, but not limited to: Have a find a way to get it done mentality and strong attention to detail Professionalism when communicating with other Morrison Industries personnel Always demonstrate Emotional Self-Control Deep personal ethics and integrity Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively and efficiently interact with cross-functional team members, employees and managers Follow all required procedures per the customer expectation Ability to read a tape measure effectively Be able to adjust welder settings for proper weld penetration Perform regular inspection of fabricated items for squareness and weld quality Perform other relate duties as assigned Qualifications of the Weld Technician include, but not limited to: Ability to work while standing and using hands for entire shift Must pass onsite weld test Ability to lift, squat, bend throughout the shift while moving and holding material safely
