Job Description: Overview: This position is responsible for the daily coordination of assigned area. This includes training and monitoring work processes of a small group of team members. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing a safe work environment, participate in our Pause the Job and Ace audit programs, ensuring standard work is being performed and update as needed, maintaining 5S levels, identifying and resolving quality issues, identifying and implementing poka yoke, addressing work process issues, collecting data and maintaining visual displays, participating in RIP's, and filling in for absent team members on an as needed basis per supervisor's request. Main Duties & Responsibilities Assure that unit Inspections and tests are being performed correctly. Assure that the team members are following their standard work processes and follow the proper workflow escalation if the standards cannot be done. Assure that the standard work is up to date and update if needed. Assure that the job task cycle times are being met and document the variances in the digital systems. Track your teams' tasks and hours in the digital tracking systems daily. Work with the production lines to resolve quality issues. Conducts the minimum of 1 Ace audit each month. Conducts the minimum of 1 Pause the Job each month. Fill in for absent team members if requested by the supervisor or manager or as demand requires. Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position. Required Qualifications: Requires a complete understanding of all assembly and sub-assembly processes in assignment area sufficient to organize a small work team, train new team members, examine work results, and assemble equipment Requires a working knowledge in the usage of automated production machinery, common hand tools, handheld power tools, fabricating equipment, and portable air tools such as a ratchet Requires sufficient problem-solving skills to troubleshoot situations such as labor and material shortages, tool and equipment problems, while maintaining productivity Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience preferred Related technical ability and good understanding of production processes and equipment Good verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience coaching and training others Computer and Tablet operation a must. Excellent problem solving skills Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures Ability to work well under pressure Commitment to Lean Principles Demonstrated ability to effectively implement change Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requires sufficient human relations skill to conduct one-on-one training and achieve harmony with team members Strong understanding of Total Preventive Maintenance, TPM Flexible, with strong teamwork orientation Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement Physical Requirements 10-hour shifts. Ability to lift 40 pounds throughout shift. Standing for long periods of time. Tripping hazards, bending, stooping. Salary: The salary range for this position is $24.64-32.52 (see step grid) hourly/salary.
