Are you ready to electrify your career? We're seeking a dynamic Buyer to join our Procurement/Supply Chain Department at our high voltage products company. If you're passionate about procurement, skilled in negotiation, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team!

Position: Buyer (Procurement/Supply Chain Department)

Shift: Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM (40-hour workweek)

Location: Mount Pleasant PA (may allow for hybrid work after initial training is complete)

Duration: 6+ months (high likelihood of extension and temp-perm role for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase product in a timely manner, negotiating the best possible price.

• Update schedules and manage/expedite material effectively.

• Develop long-term agreements with suppliers.

• Participate in supplier qualifications and capabilities assessments.

• Identify new suppliers in cooperation with relevant Category Team members.

• Work with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists to qualify new suppliers.

• Act as the primary contact with suppliers for all purchase orders, resolving discrepancies and overseeing supplier performance.

• Initiate purchase orders in the SAP system and align supplier orders with customer requirements.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a machine tool environment.

• Prior experience working with SAP operating systems is essential.

• High school degree is required.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.

• Proactive approach in dealing with suppliers.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Analytical mindset to determine cost-effective opportunities.

• Ability to align supplier orders with customer requirements.
