Job Description

Baumans is looking to add to our current staffing! We are seeking a full time Assistant Manager to join our team. Potential candidates are highly productive and efficient individuals who are: enthusiastic about providing quality customer service, interested in clothing and shoe sales, and detail oriented.

As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business in partnership with the owner/manager. Alongside a team of employees you will ensure every customer receives the superior satisfaction and experience they have come to expect over Baumans 115 year history. The right candidate will be a self-motivated, highly energetic individual who is comfortable engaging the public.

This position will report to the Manager/Owner.

Ability to work Saturday shifts is a must. Experience selling menswear or previous sales experience is a plus, but we are happy to provide training in all areas of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Embody Baumans culture and values through a high degree of self-accountability acting as a model for all team members
  • Drive customer engagement inside and outside of the store environment ranging from store events and promotions to community projects.
  • Directing the daily activities in alignment with company goals
  • Ensure operational efficiency, especially as it pertains to Inventory management.
  • Provide a high level of customer service in person, or through other communication channels to ensure a positive experience in all situations.
  • Develop the skills and product knowledge necessary to effectively educate and aid customers during the sales process, with special attention paid to mens formalwear.
  • Develop and maintain store organization and displays that make the store easy to shop to optimize the customer experience.
  • Provide feedback to all levels of the organization for continuous business improvement.
  • Ability to work Saturdays and occasional evenings is required.
