Google Partner Technology Manager, Privacy Sandbox in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).

  • 6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

  • 6 years of experience working with operating systems and with software/hardware stack structures.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux kernel, device driver APIs, chipset, and Android.

  • Experience working with embedded systems.

  • Experience with privacy policy management.

  • Experience in mobile device/application development, with knowledge of mobile technologies.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with experience handling multiple customers and streams of work.

The Android Partner Engineering team works with the Android device ecosystem partners to extend the boundaries of what can be achieved with the Android OS. The team works with OEMs, carriers, chipset vendors and ODMs and works in a fast paced technology driven environment.

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring proper adoption of security and privacy features, as well as managing Android technical policies to help deliver the best Android experience through OEM partner devices. As a Partner Technology Manager in Android Partner Engineering, you will work with global partners as well as internal cross-functional teams to deliver solutions to help scale the Android ecosystem.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Manage features and provide guidance on best practices of Android implementation to partners representing engineering and product teams.

  • Develop new programs and policies to protect customer privacy and security with Android platform security, Google Play, Trust and Safety.

  • Manage deployment of Android features and partner requirements with internal stakeholders, ensuring adoption by the ecosystem partners.

  • Contribute to designing a scalable compatibility verification program with various engineering teams.
