Microsoft Corporation Principal Program Manager, Data & AI in Multiple Locations, United States

We are the Redmond Team supporting the Asia Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). We support the engineering initiatives needed to accelerate the success of the Microsoft Asia business.

We are seeking a motivated and passionate customer advocate with expertise in Data & AI/Machine Learning (ML). This role covers a diverse range of challenges that include working directly with Feature teams, Customers, & Field Leadership. We focus on the biggest & most impactful technical challenges affecting the business.

As the Principal Program Manager, Data & AI, you will be responsible for supporting technical customer engagements, eliminating blockers both proactively & reactively, and working with the relevant product groups & Infrastructure teams. There will be an opportunity to work directly with select customers & field teams to solve their challenges.

Responsibilities

  • As the Principal Program Manager, Data & AI, you will focus on the AI Technologies across the spectrum – Copilot, Infrastructure (e.g. Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) availability), Fine Tuning, Large Language Model/SMall Language Model (LLM/SLM), etc. You will apply this knowledge to help identify the blockers to adoption and address them both in the short term (deal/deployment) and longer term (accelerating overall usage).

  • Work with Azure AI/OpenAI services teams providing feedback and collaborating on unblocking.

  • Work across the various Copilot/Studio Feature teams

  • Provide guidance/briefings to customers & field leaders on technology adoption.

  • End-to-end scenario discussions/guidance involving multiple cognitive services and integration with other Azure services.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, testing, and customer POC implementation.

  • Explore and source a wide variety of data as a data enthusiast.

  • Provide guidance on moving large datasets on the cloud to understand the properties of the data.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND 6+ years experience working as a Technical Program Manager, Customer Program Manager, Developer, or Architect, with some experience with AI, Machine Learning (ML) or Data.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience in new product launches.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience working as a Technical Program Manager, Customer Program Manager, Developer, or Architect, with some experience with AI, Machine Learning (ML) or Data.

  • OR equivalent experience.

Customer Experience Program Mgmt IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
