nVent Estimator - I in Mumbai, Indiana

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • To review RFP, review of client commercial and technical requirements for proposal production/documentation/submission.

  • To design Electrical Heat Tracing Circuits, Circuit Schedules, Single Line diagrams and General Arrangement diagrams.

  • To ensure preparation of design sheets, Bill of Materials, Piping MTO from Client’s GA/Isometric drawings, estimating lengths of power/control cables, cable sizing calculations, preparation of cable schedule as per project Detail, estimating quantity of cable tray etc.

  • To prepare a bid preparation schedule for submission of bids; identify people responsible for various activities within predetermined timelines and a common understanding of the scope.

  • To compile and issue clarifications and requests to the client and share client feedback in terms of scope, additional information etc. with the team.

  • To prepare and compile Risk Register wherein various risk elements of the project are listed and update the risk mitigation strategy for each risk element in consultation with Proposals Manager.

  • To ensure generation of all deliverables by Engineering Disciplines as per Bid requirement (BOQs, Technical Documents to be attached to Bid, Costing for various equipment and materials etc.).

  • To ensure handling of Clients clarification requests and attendance at bid clarification meetings.

  • To ensure Management of the enquiry from receipt through to contract award, including interfacing with other engineering and procurement departments to ensure timely scheduling.

  • To ensure forwarding the details to procurement for preparation and issue of sub-vendor enquiries.

  • To shortlist and identify target vendors for various key equipment/ packages

  • To follow-up with the procurement department for vendor offers and obtain vendor responses for the technical clarifications raised. Review of sub-vendor information and preparation of cost estimates.

  • To perform any other related duties and responsibilities as required by the reporting manager.

  • To assist in the improvement of working practices of the department.

  • To ensure receive functional guidance, direction and advice from Proposals/Estimation Manager.

  • To provide planning and reporting assistance to Proposals/Estimation Manager.

  • To develop standard documents.

  • To ensure other duties are performed as directed by Proposals/Estimation Manager from time to time.
