Citigroup Business Risk Intermediate Analyst - Officer in Mumbai, India

Banking and International Controls Reporting and Analytics Team

An opportunity exists to join a newly established Banking and International franchise Risk & Controls Reporting team in the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Mumbai working with Banking AND International stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of Risk & Controls and Governance management reporting and related activities and will report into the Banking and International Controls Reporting and Analytics Head.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement and maintain ETL processes.

  • Build and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture to ensure scalability, enable dashboards for Business Users and analytics.

  • Proven experience in developing and working Tableau driven dashboards, analytics.

  • Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.

  • Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture.

  • Advanced Tableau development skills required.

  • A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management system, data modeling, and normalization

  • Design and manage the production of periodic and ad-hoc management reports.

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and ensure data integrity is maintained throughout the production process.

  • Manage the expectations of management and articulate clearly and concisely in answering any queries they may have.

  • Understand business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry and suggest areas of improvement.

Qualifications/Experience/Skill sets :

  • Strong analytical and management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements.

  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills (Macro/VBA and MS Access experience will be preferred)

  • Background in data warehouse design and data modeling techniques (identifying relationships)

  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework

  • Familiarity with SQL and Business Intelligence technologies (Tableau, Qlik , Micro strategy, or Power BI will be preferred)

  • Ability to work with structured and unstructured data sets from a diverse range of sources.

  • Ability to work closely with IT regarding further automation of reports and process enhancement. The candidate should be sound in problem solving and be creative to new process innovations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with strict attention to details and be able to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated Partnerships with global franchise.

  • An ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

  • Excellent verbal, comprehension and written communication skills (English). Should be comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Capable of working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment while sensitively managing confidential information.

  • The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented and will possess strong organizational skills.
