About the job

  • The Channel Marketing Team, within Integrated Marketing, leads the owned channel strategy, activation and optimization for the enterprise. Managing all marketing levers to drive specific outcomes for stakeholders including B2B & B2C lead and revenue generation and enterprise initiatives. This cross channel team develops and manages stakeholder strategies and execution on digital properties (including Nielsen.com ), email, mobile and social properties.

  • Reporting into the Senior Manager of Email Strategy, in this role you will support Nielsen’s audience first global email execution. Responsible for both client and prospect email communications you will work with partners and stakeholders to deliver optimized email communication and campaign programs that drive the highest levels of engagement and impact from the channel.

Responsibilities

  • Execute email marketing campaigns in partnership with the Product and Go to Market teams from gathering of requirements, design and development, to testing, localization, launch, and reporting

  • Build programs and execute campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and revenue

  • Work with Product Marketing and Client Communications to build campaigns that inform customers of new product notifications, developments and other critical updates

  • Create and test campaigns and templates that align content to customer preferences

  • Analyze, report on, and optimize against key metrics including CTR, open rates, revenue lift, and engagement

  • Recommend and implement iterative A/B testing to continually improve performance through optimized messaging and targeting

  • Support client communications strategies including during crisis situations, ensuring that clients are provided with accurate and timely information

  • Be responsive and agile to deliver fast response email communications

  • Have the ability to work with varied stakeholders in different geographies and time zones

  • Gain subject matter expertise in customer pain points and deliver proactive solutions

  • Track email best practices, industry trends, and make proactive recommendations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication, or other related field

  • 3+ years experience with marketing automation platforms

  • 3+ years experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional email marketing campaigns (including automated flows) from concept to completion; including testing, sending, and reporting

  • Experience using analytical tools to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and make adjustments accordingly

  • Skills/experience HTML and/or XML, plus the ability to learn our in-house tools quickly

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, experienced English language writer and content creator. Experience in creating sales presentations using Google Slides

  • Excellent organization, project management, communication and problem solving skills

  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner

  • A proactive, goal-oriented team player able to work independently and collectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong relationship skills capable of developing, maintaining and growing internal and external strategic relationships across partners and functions
