Job Description: Morgan Stanley is looking to hire a Vice President of Brand and Marketing in Mumbai. The successful candidate will have experience of brand strategy and brand management, content and creative development, digital and social media. They will also be comfortable managing and interacting with a variety of stakeholders at different levels.

This varied role requires a versatile, collaborative, and proactive individual. They will advise key stakeholders and plan, direct and deliver marketing activities, aspects of which include marketing planning, brand management, developing briefs, messaging, creative and content, social media, and campaign management.

The role involves close collaboration with Corporate Communications (Internal Communications and PR) and business stakeholders to ensure marketing activities are knitted into external and internal communications strategies. The successful candidate will also work with various teams, including Brand, Digital Experience, International Marketing and Social Media based in Budapest, Hong Kong, London and New York, to leverage their expertise and resources, as well as ensure alignment with global strategies. This role dual reports to the Head of International Marketing, based in London, and the Head of Corporate Affairs for India, based in Mumbai. It includes the line management and career development of one direct report.

Primary Responsibilities: •Act as a primary point of contact for marketing and brand related strategies, campaigns, and initiatives with stakeholders in India. •Cultivate relationships with key partners to understand the regional business strategy, objectives, and priorities; synthesize and relay this information to colleagues in London and New York. •Develop, socialize, and execute marketing plans that align to the Firm’s global brand and marketing strategy; communicate with stakeholders in a timely manner and share status updates, results, and insights. •Act as a brand custodian to ensure all initiatives are consistent with and reflect our visual identity and tone of voice. •Work closely with the Firm’s internal Creative Studio to develop and deliver creative assets, templates, and collateral for key campaigns and to assist local teams. •Own strategy and execution of firmwide digital signage properties. •Own and manage the branded merchandise strategy, including the relationship with the vendor, governance and selection of products, brand approvals and internal communication. •Coordinate and execute photo and video shoots, including writing briefs, setting clear objectives, liaising with photographers and external agencies. •Contribute to our social media strategy with content, creative and copy for firmwide channels; work closely with the Country Head and his team to support with ideation, copy writing and editing. •Support the management of morganstanley.com/india by advising on content and UX and keeping content up to date. •Understand regional talent acquisition objectives and support marketing strategy and execution. •Manage the strategy for and activation of Firmwide brand sponsorships. •Contribute to internal communications strategies relative to key campaigns to engage employees. •Monitor the impact of all marketing initiatives and provide regular insights on their effectiveness to stakeholders. •Track competitor brand and marketing activity and effectively cascade and communicate insights. •Support with brand training for local colleagues to ensure they’re up-to-speed with brand guidelines. •Act as a brand ambassador for Firmwide Marketing; attend and give status updates at relevant regional committees and meetings.

Qualifications: •Minimum of 10 years of experience across brand strategy, content, creative development, communications/PR, and stakeholder management. •Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, financial services, or related field of study. •Financial services, consulting, professional services or similar in a large, global corporate environment. •Think strategically, understand business and brand strategy to translate these into marketing plans and roadmap. •Demonstrate a track record managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environment, team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams and communicate and influence stakeholders. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills; copywriting skills are a plus. •Understanding of the creative briefing process and experience working with internal and external agencies. •Proactive and creative self-starter, with a ‘can do’ attitude and strong organizational skills. •Ability to work tactically when required and take up ad-hoc requests and projects that come up. •Strong attention to detail in pursuit of thoroughness and accuracy.
