Sonos Account Manager - DACH in Munich, Delaware

We are currently looking for an Account Manager to support our growth strategy in Germany specifically for major key accounts that run successful offline and online businesses.

Reporting to the Commercial Director - DACH/PL, this role is focussed on driving account relationships and is an exciting opportunity to take on an important role in a growing business. This portfolio is one of the largest in EMEA and requires constant focus on new household growth, best in class partner relationships and exceptional change management skills aligned to company & regional strategy.

Germany is the largest market in EMEA and functions mainly in cooperation with our decentralized German Partner Framework. We’ve also re-defined our business in Switzerland to accelerate growth in one of our globally most successful markets.

In this role, it is key to assess market and business opportunities, build and implement strong marketing and commercial plans and manage our distributors as well as key marketplaces and key partners. The ideal candidate has a strong Commercial and Marketing know-how and is used to work in a decentralized matrix organization.

Some of the things you’ll do:

  • Co-create and implement strong commercial plans for Accounts, Key Accounts, pure players or even countries of the cluster (via/with a distributor in between)

  • Manage the relationship with defined Partners

  • Search proactively for new partnerships and Business Opportunities to drive new Sonos households

  • Manage and develop selected Pure Play accounts with focus on E-tail

  • Manage and develop selected Key Accounts with multichannel business models

  • Analyze internal and external information in order to develop precisely tailored concepts for key partners and account roles

  • Define and analyze KPIs (commerce, marketing) in order to improve our impact (test, learn, adapt, scale)

  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams and excite the wider organization in order to receive the right level of support and lever successful initiatives

  • Deep understanding of our company strategy, our brand and our values

  • Deep understanding and a minimum 5+years’ experience in sales and/or marketing for a premium/lifestyle brand

  • Experience in E-Commerce

  • Fluent in English and German

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation and excellent presentation skills

  • Natural communicator, internally as well as externally and at all levels (Marketing/ Commercial/Director)

  • Creativity and out of the box thinking and bias-to-action attitude

  • Strong analytical and data driven skills

  • Track record in project-management

  • Strong team player who also works well independently.

  • Hands-on and can-do attitude with a healthy part of empathy to work in cross-functional teams
