Position Summary:

Assist students in the Electronics Lab. Purchase supplies, maintain and repair equipment, and lab set-up. Maintain tool, equipment inventory, and supply room for the Electronics/Mechatronics Technology Program at CWI. Assist instructors as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Purchase supplies, equipment repair, assisting in the Electronics/Mechatronics labs, set up, and supply inventory.

• Assist instructors with instruction in the lab

• Purchase all tools and products needed within the department budget

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and upgrade power tools

• Fabricate training aids

• Research new or replacement equipment

• Issue tools, supplies, manuals, and power equipment for use in CWI educational programs

• Secure tools, equipment, and facility after classes.

• Clean lab and lab equipment as needed

• Prepare and maintain computerized and physical inventory, as well as prepare work order reports.

• Ensure hazardous materials are stored and safely disposed

• Ensure that Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) records are current

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in Electronics (knowledge and practical experience

• Working knowledge of inventory methods, materials, and supplies procurement and handling, storing, and shipping methods

• Experience working with MSDS sheets and safety procedures for caustic, flammable, and hazardous products

• Experience using equipment service manuals to troubleshoot and repair or upgrade tools and equipment
