Research and architect effective methods and models for high-budget, enterprise-level mission-critical infrastructure, applications software, and/or specialized utility programs that must accommodate high availability, high concurrent user load, and heterogeneous environment. Research and justify the technical and cost-based trade offs to make systems level decisions including choosing amongst: Serverless architecture, event-driven architecture, microservices architecture, etc. Review and approve systems analysis documents. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to architect systems and to assess project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Optimize software architecture for optimizing operational efficiency. Architect highly secure OLTP database-based systems within an application area. Work individually, or coordinate database development as part of a team. Research, stay updated on, and ensure implementation of technical best practices. Act as a technical resource and SME for programmers. Participate as a senior technical team member in client meetings. Work on designing and developing applications with the following tools and technologies: Java/C#/Python/Node.js; JavaScript/TypeScript; Spring Boot/.NET Core/Python Flask/Express.js; Hibernate/Entity Framework/SQLAlchemy/Sequelize; Docker/Tomcat/IIS/Nginx; JUnit/XUnit/PyTest/Jest; React/Angular/Vue; SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MySQL; Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure Pipelines; GitHub/Bitbucket/AzureDevOps; AWS IAM/Azure Active Directory/Google IAM; AWS SNS/Azure EventHubs/Google PubSub/Kafka; AWS ECS/Azure AKS/Google GKE; and AWS Lambda/Azure Functions/Google Function.Other similar duties as assigned.
