Production Supervisors are required to successfully complete 3-6 months of technical training provided by Silgan Containers. This will include writing reports, and discussions with plant management to understand can/end manufacturing processes and equipment.

- Train personnel, apply written safety procedures, observe work areas for safety improvements, and learn investigative processes.
- Apply SPC principles and basic quality tools.
- Train procedures, manage equipment, and maximize production throughout.
- Learn factory organizations, enforce SOP's, and review standard reporting.
- Develop and mentor employees and direct and assign work.
- Administer Labor contracts in union plants.
- Personal inspection of workforce, material usage, and production.
- Analyze reports.
We need you to have:
High school diploma or GED, Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years of relevant work experience
1+ year of supervisory experience
Solid technical and mechanical aptitude
Excellent communication, including both written and oral
Statistical and computer knowledge
Problem-solving and visual mechanic skills (blueprints and descriptions)
You should be proficient in:
- Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Leadership / People Management
Salary info:
$30 - $35 / HR
