Job Summary and Qualifications

The EHR Product Manager will report directly to the Meditech Expanse Director and work closely with the Expanse team and other business partners. This role will collaborate with various leaders, product owners, and project managers across the enterprise to deliver on business needs related to the support of the MEDITECH Data Repository. The EHR Product Manager will be responsible for managing the Consulting EHR Product Leads, Developers, and Analysts, coordinating work efforts, management of issue escalations, and supporting all designated efforts required for a successful EHR implementation and ongoing operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of EHR Application Engineers.

• Implementation and support of SQL Server-based application database environment.

• Provide updates to Director on project status, product concerns, and team accomplishments or barriers in a timely manner.

• Collaboration across multiple teams to understand work strategies, planning and any challenges related to implementation of Expanse.

• Coordination of efforts across multiple business lines to create a “big picture” view and collaborative team effort to meet project deliverables.

• Provide assistance and support to facilitate business needs as they arise.

• Escalation of concerns or issues that could impact a successful product go live in a timely and detailed manner.

• Attendance and participation in team and project meetings.

• Provide detailed report outs and status updates to business as needed.

• Propose recommendations, adjustments and/or process improvements to achieve success as needed.

• Work with consultants to deliver quality support tools to assist in effective and efficient functional implementations.

• Some travel may be required to support business efforts.

• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• People management preferred.

• Experience with project management and/or IT implementations preferred.

• Experience with SQL Server environments and SQL-related programming.

• Knowledge of business process improvement, workflows and evaluation of processes.

• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with a changing environment.

• Ability to accomplish assignments, analyzing a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management on aspects of IT system development, operations and solutions.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

• Orchestrate and deliver on a given strategic initiative.

• Ability to manage, organize, and make decisions.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Proven ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete objectives.

• Focused, versatile, and comfortable under pressure.

• Excellent written and oral communication capability and presentation skills.

• Ability to present and facilitate ideas while creating alignment among audience of varying disciplines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

• Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization.

What qualifications you will need:

  • EDUCATION / Experience • Bachelor Degree required.• Previous leadership experience preferred.• 5 or more years of relevant work experience required.• Experience working with an EHR is preferred.• Leadership development training preferred; Aspiring Managers or Emerging Leaders
