Vanderbilt University Project Coordinator, Part-Time, Term in Nashville, Tennessee

Please note: This is a part-time, term role

We are excited to be hiring a new research team member at Vanderbilt University. The Project Coordinator – Term position is research-focused and provides coordination and leadership on multiple-funded grant research projects and staff affiliated with projects run by Dr. Kristen Granger and Dr. Jason Chow. Broadly, these research projects are focused on language development, social and behavioral trajectories, observational methods, and school- and community-based research.

NOTE: A Term position is a staff position that exists for a period longer than six months but is not expected to last beyond one year. Although a position may exist for a specified or indefinite period, staff who accept term positions are not guaranteed employment for the entire period; they are employed for indefinite periods within the limit of the appointment. There are no guarantees of continued employment, either within the term or when the term ends.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties of this role will include:

  • Data collection and management

  • Observational coding

  • Manage participant payments and lab correspondence

  • Recruitment and management of data staff

  • IRB submissions and modifications

  • Scholarly presentations and publications

  • Supporting ongoing and new projects over the course of the position

Supervisory Relationships

This position will supervise master’s students and undergraduate student workers in the lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is necessary. Master's degree preferred

  • Prior experience managing education or psychology research projects, including teams of staff and students,

  • Interest in school- and community-based research,

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish assigned tasks and deliverables

  • Interest in manuscript writing and publication

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
