Role Definition

  • Acting with servant-leader mindset and project management expertise will be key enablers as you and the team deliver on our business partners' key business objectives.

What You will Do:

  • Effectively translate a desired business outcome into an actionable, achievable, and team-aligned plan that delivers per expectations.

  • Oversee project processes and procedures, monitoring the productivity and performance of project team.

  • Managing all aspects of projects. Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of project.

  • Coach and mentor other Project Managers

  • Ensuring adherence to project methodologies and best practices.

  • Preparing and presenting program level reporting for stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership within the team and assigned projects, providing excellent support and coaching.

Consideration for Top Candidates:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience leading large and complex projects with significant technical components and/or ERP implementations, major upgrades, and/or deployments

  • Strong practical understanding of project management fundamentals, best practices and methodologies

  • Strong background in IT systems and processes, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Previous experience in working with both Agile and Waterfall mythology teams.

  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP)

Skill Required:

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Level Expert:

• Champions organization's project management methodology, tools, and techniques.

• Manages multiple high-risk, high-cost projects involving multiple stakeholders.

• Coaches others in open communication among project stakeholders.

• Monitors major projects for critical path and actual status versus planned.

• Consults on project planning and management of high-risk, high-impact projects.

• Monitors industry for fresh approaches and tools for project management.

Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Develops, refines, and communicates tactical plans for own responsibilities.

• Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of active and planned projects.

• Plans for allocation of resources in line with portfolio and project needs.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Maintains productive, long-term relationships with business partners and delivery teams.

• Creates opportunities to educate delivery teams on business priorities.

• Facilitates effective expectation management.

• Empowers others to establish collaborative, healthy relationships.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.

• Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position.

• Communicates well downward, upward, and outward.

• Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement.

Degree Requirement:

  • A 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study.

Additional Information:

  • This role is a hybrid position and would require any successful candidate to commit to a 3 day per week in office requirement.
