Robert Half Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant in Nashville, Tennessee
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee for a Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team. The primary function of the role revolves around the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements, ensuring the accurate representation of the company's financial condition. The successful candidate will also liaise with banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors, and officials.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.
• Analyze and comment on variances in operating reports and financial statements.
• Oversee the preparation of year-end financial statements and all related notes, as well as the annual audit process.
• Supervise the completion of Federal and State tax reporting requirements, including income, property, sales and use, payroll, and other local taxes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of corporate financial reporting policies and procedures.
• Review and analyze trends in sales, revenue, expense, general business conditions, and other related areas.
• Communicate with management and operational units regarding accounting and reporting matters.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned. Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting roles
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Financial Reporting is required
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions
• Must be legally eligible to work in the location of the job.
