As a strategic supply chain manager, you'll take end-to-end ownership of operations, emphasizing sales & operations planning, logistics optimization, network design, and analysis of operational efficiency.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and science teams. Utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement scalable systems, and drive automation to enhance efficiency, with a particular focus on optimizing the physical flow and operations within the supply chain network. Whether you're managing network capacity initiatives, overseeing cross-functional programs, or focusing on strategic projects, your impact will be visible, ongoing, and contribute directly to our commitment to being the most customer-centric company on earth.

Key job responsibilities

  • This person will be responsible for jurisdiction planning for the US AMXL Delivery station network during each quarterly planning cycle. They will own oversight to evolve jurisdictions from current state to established long-term plans determined in each quarterly/bi-annual planning cycles.

  • They will serve as the STL collaborating with cross functional teams to validate and justify recommended jurisdiction changes, review the financial impact, and ensure quick adoption of proposed changes.

  • This person will also partner with other first party carriers within amazon to establish best practices//benchmark on standard processes across NA and EU.

  • They will define metrics, develop program management mechanisms, and invent/simplify processes to drive decision-making in complex network capacity situations.

  • Partner heavily with Amazon science teams to build complex topology models and present findings to senior leaders during quarterly guidance planning cycles.

A day in the life

  • Evaluate last mile Jurisdiction plans and run topology models in partnership with Amazon science

  • Build optimal jurisdictions during quarterly guidance cycles to optimize for cost, speed and capacity

  • Benchmark and adopt best practices/systems from other Amazon teams

  • Configure systems to ensure seamless flow of jurisdiction plans from supply chain to field operations

  • Build HOTW solutions in partnership with BIE teams and build the product roadmap for last mile jurisdiction planning

About the team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is a single-threaded organization with ownership of the end-to-end (E2E) customer experience for large, heavy, and bulky products. AMXL consolidates E2E supply chain: strategy, data analytics, tech, operations, warehousing, order fulfillment, transportation, and delivery. AMXL also offers special handling services such as Room of Choice delivery, Haul-Away, and Installation/Assembly for select items. AMXL currently operates in NA, EU, JP, and IN, with plans for further expansion.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
