We are looking for talented Trade Compliance Program Manager to support our rapidly growing and evolving businesses. You will support operations by executing on a broad range of import compliance matters, including high profile projects related to trade automation. You will work directly with retail procurement teams, transportation operations, legal, tax and a variety of internal businesses and outside vendors to drive import compliance across the supply chain.
Principal Duties
Work with Amazon’s Global Trade Services team to execute strategy, drive and enforce global import / export processes, seek automation opportunities and leverage technologies.
Partner with external providers such as customs brokers, freight forwarders, to provide high-class import services.
Collaborate with business units to proactively identify compliance issues and comply with regulatory obligations
Partner with internal customers to build and enforce Global Trade Services' role in internal product development processes.
Drive scalable business solutions with ensure compliance with trade regulations
Provide accurate HTS classifications for products to internal business units and outside service providers to ensure compliance with Customs regulations and other trade requirements
Provide global customs and trade compliance guidance to programs that will result in unlocking new business opportunities.
Work with Amazon’s internal technology teams to develop creative and best-in-class trade compliance business processes that scale
Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
4+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Strong import/export classification experience
A mix of customs compliance and project management experience
Experience developing processes to meet internal control requirements
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
Experience with SQL and Excel
Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor
Experience in engaging with and influencing leadership teams
Excellent communication (written, oral, presenting and negotiating) skills with attention to detail
Strong analytical skills, data driven with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload
Track record of working in an ambiguous environment and ability to define processes that can scale
Adept at working with different systems and making recommendations on improvements for both systems and processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
