GPO Payroll Supervisor

This position reports into Director GPO Payroll/T&A and is based at Paranaque, Philippines.

The GPO Payroll Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily activities of payroll coordinators and specialists, ensuring timely and accurate processing of system wide payroll for all locations and employees, reviewing and implementing guidelines to ensure compliance with all local government regulatory reporting requirements, and overseeing maintenance of payroll system.

What You Will Do

The position is responsible for:

• Develop and implement payroll processes and procedures in accordance with company policies and regulations.

• Build digital capabilities to unlock process efficiencies and drive process standardization globally and regionally.

• Develop end-to-end digital capabilities in partnership with digital functional owners to enable intelligent automation.

• Develop processes to collect and report on performance metrics, KPIs, and vendor SLAs associated with payroll processes.

• Design and execute a vision for future-state organization, processes, and systems.

• Support GPO project managers with project prioritization, status reporting, and execution

• Support the GPO function on vendor management tasks.

• Align key stakeholders across the organization on global process standards, advocate for behavior change (where appropriate), and reinforce cultural.

• Support the integration of payroll strategies as appropriate with other functions and departments.

• Stay up to date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Coordinate with global stakeholders to ensure appropriate project prioritization, effort, and budget.

• Manage and support system enhancements, upgrades, and user testing of system changes across the payroll organization.

• Ensure compliance with all local government regulatory reporting requirements including quarterly government filings, annual reporting and yearend employee legal filing forms.

• Oversee maintenance of payroll and T&A system – build a strong knowledge of the solutions in use.

• Respond to complex inquiries and resolve difficult issues.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt

• 6-8 years of experience in payroll processing and supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Minimum of 8 years related experience in payroll, HR, and timekeeping technologies (ADP, Kronos, eTime, Workday, Salesforce, etc.)

• University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in a related field

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• A high degree of confidentiality, data protection assurance, conformity with policies, procedures, external regulations, and agencies

• Approximately 15% global travel will be required

• Digital mindset, i.e. knowledgeable about technology solutions to business problems

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact skillfully and confidently with internal stakeholders and colleagues to develop ideas, identify opportunities, and influence outcomes

• Experience leading stakeholders to analyze ambiguous problems and develop solutions to complex business problems

• Knowledge of global payroll processes preferred; enough experience with process design and process improvements for a global function to quickly learn global payroll processes

• Strong project management skills

• Experience implementing technical solutions from business requirement to testing is preferred

• Knowledge and/or experience with Knowledge Management artifacts such as Desktop Procedures (DTPs) is preferred

• Prior Experience with payroll processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance is preferred

• Exposure to shared services environment leveraging case management tools preferred. (i.e., experience with Salesforce)

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), PMP, or other designation is preferred
