JOB REQUIREMENTS: Primary Role:Manage various Product Preparation Services (PPS) projects while supporting KCC business and research objectives. Project Managers (PM) partner with KC/PPS Leadership and Advantage xPO to utilize time management and communication skills as a leader in delivering on-time, quality projects. Project Managers may also be asked to assist with training up and coming talent on innovation projects and/or to be a Project Manager themselves. Job Duties: Attend safety meetings, as scheduled. Maintain an understanding of: Project scope. Work instructions. Packaging instructions. Timing. Quality expectations. Drawings and templates. Material list. Manage teams of various amounts & diversities on PPS projects that may include product preparation, modification, hand making, inspecting, and/or packaging. Assist with the training of individuals on equipment & tools to be used and processes to be followed during the project. Assist with training, mentoring, and/or shadowing up-and-coming Project Managers. Work with PPS Operations Specialist to manage project progress and fill in gaps as needed with talent or within project process. Delegate team member roles and responsibilities within the project, utilizing knowledge of project needs and talent skill set. Document and record required project status/information in EtQ on a daily and weekly basis. Attend and be engaged in project start up meetings. Work closely with the Material Coordinator (MC) to identify and gather materials/equipment prior to study start and inventory remaining materials/products on pallets returning to storage. Verify all incoming material descriptions/tracking information to the Raw Material Consumption Log (RMCL) prior to use. Using time management skills, determine daily production targets and quality objectives. Attend required team meetings, as necessary. Attend and be engaged in startup meetings to review project plan and understand the scope of work and project expectations. Ensure daily cleanliness of the PPS Lab work areas.
