The Position

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

The Nevada Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, Division of Outdoor Recreation (DOR) has an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about contributing to the mission of the Nevada Off-Highway Vehicles Program (NOHVP). The Division is hiring for a Management Analyst 3 position located in Carson City, NV. This position is responsible for managing the Nevada Off-Highway Vehicles Program (NOHVP) and providing support to the Governor appointed Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles.

This incumbent is responsible for complex program analysis, supervising potential additional NOHVP staff, open meeting law, grant management, and reporting requirements. Duties include, but are not limited to: development and management of grant program regulations, policies, and manuals; budget tracking for the program and its grants; grant project solicitation, administration, inspection, and oversight; supervisory duties of potential additional OHV staff; OHV stakeholder educational outreach; management of the State's NOHVP website, social media, and listserve; representation as Nevada's representative and partner for the National Off-highway Vehicle Conservation Council and Western Chapter of the International OHV Administrator Association; collaboration with federal, local, and county agencies, as well as other partners, to accomplish the mission of the Nevada Off-Highway Vehicles Program. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and five years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Additional Position Criteria

This position requires a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
