_ _Work schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (12 hours each day) with a $5/hour shift premium.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide support to manufacturing personnel to immediately resolve quality issues or escalate questions/needs accordingly.

  • Ensure that production measurement requirements are performed timely to ensure continued manufacturing operation.

  • Process non-conforming material tags.

  • Measurement/analysis of features using various measurement methods including CMM, Faro Arm, Optical Comparator, micrometers, indicators, calipers, height gages, bore gages, groove gages, pin gages, plug and thread gages, and additional inspection equipment.

  • Perform random inspections on production parts and documentation including work instructions and control plans.

  • Create data sheets and entry level gage instructions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Three to five years-experience in Quality and/or manufacturing related fields desirable.

  • Must have good problem-solving skills (8D). Working knowledge of SPC, capability analysis, FMEA, and Gage R&R preferred.

  • Must know basic inspection and testing concepts including use of hand gages.

  • Blueprint reading necessary, GD&T knowledge preferred.

  • CMM, Faro Arm, Optical Comparator experience preferred.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Requires working knowledge of Excel.

  • Microsoft Outlook and Office application knowledge preferred.

  • Working knowledge of calibration procedures (maintenance, record keeping, repair).

  • Experience with ISO 9001 requirements.

  • Per 8-10 hr. shift (stand 5 hrs., sit 3 hrs.), occasionally (bend, balance, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, and push or pull objects). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 10 lbs., occasionally from 11 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to hear, have good vision, distinguish colors, and do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to coolants, lubricants, dust, adhesives, solvents, oil and weld flash.
