What You Will Achieve

The Manager, Data Analytics & Reporting is an experienced professional with organizational and interpersonal skills who will provide solution-oriented ideas and strategic contributions to the Legal Operations and Services team. This role is responsible for:

  • Defining and implementing the Legal Division data analytics and reporting roadmap with a focus on centralized, automated solutions that empower the Division to make data-driven decisions;

  • Building solutions that use reporting and analytics to identify, quantify and communicate Division performance, effectiveness and risk;

  • The governance, design, analysis, testing, and support of business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions to support the roadmap; and

  • Partnering with teams across the Division to promote analytically-powered transformation and simplification.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Define the Legal Division's reporting roadmap and strategy, in partnership with Legal Operations and Digital.

  • Oversee the design and governance of reporting systems to ensure data integrity, availability and accurate reporting.

  • Proactively identify new opportunities for innovative data analytics and reporting initiatives and improved data driven decision making.

  • Translate high-level business problems into solutions using data-driven modeling and analysis.

  • Design innovative automated reporting solutions and interactive visualizations from diverse data sources, making complex information accessible and engaging.

  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions; identify areas which need improvement in efficiency, data governance and/or productivity.

  • Work with management and cross-functional teams to gather business requirements for data analysis and reporting.

  • Work with Digital to develop, maintain and deliver dashboards and other automated reports to support the oversight of legal processes.

  • Work with Digital to develop validated and supported data systems, processes, and reporting solutions, focusing on efficiency and data quality to support analytics goals.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in data analytics and reporting.

  • Create and deliver ad hoc reports as needed.

  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7+ years of experience

  • Demonstrated experience in managing large and complex analytical programs

  • Influential leader with ability to clearly articulate expectations, capabilities and action plans

  • Innovative thinker with analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Superior project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task

  • Proven experience in report automation via LaTeX, OfficeR, R Markdown

  • Proven experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, BusinessObjects, and other reporting platforms

  • Knowledge of relational databases, information architecture, data warehousing, ETL and SQL

  • Proven skills in data cleaning and analysis

  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements

  • Expertise using statistical methods, forecasting and regression models to analyze data

  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree

  • Experience with data modeling and data storage concepts

  • Knowledge of business processes in Legal Operations

  • Experience building reports to support Legal Operations

  • Experience with Mitratech applications or other ELM platforms

  • Experience working with external vendor teams

  • Demonstrated understanding of data management principles

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Primarily desk work involving the use of computer applications and data analysis.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
