New York University 2025 - 2026 Assistant Professor in Technology, Operations and Statistics - Operations Group (full-time, tenure-track) in New York, New York

The Operations Management Group in the Department of Technology, Operations, and Statistics at the Stern School of Business, New York University, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level starting in the 2025-2026 academic year.

Operations Management is a multidisciplinary program at the Stern School. The OM faculty at NYU Stern have diverse interests and expertise, and share a strong commitment to analytical, empirical, and field-based research relating to Operations Management.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000. This pay range represents base pay only (for 9 months) and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Applicants are expected to be productive and high-quality researchers. Applications with boundary-spanning interests are encouraged, including interdisciplinary work that intersects with Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Statistics, and Technology Management. Candidates should have a PhD, or candidates must have successfully defended their doctoral dissertation prior to appointment. We expect applicants to be effective in teaching Operations Management or Decision Models courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as PhD-level courses.
