Department Summary

Our DISH Media Ad Sales team, headquartered in New York City with additional offices in Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles, empowers brands to reach their target audiences seamlessly across the DISH and Sling platforms. Specializing in data-driven addressable and programmatic advertising solutions, this innovative and passionate team excels in navigating the dynamic TV advertising landscape.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This Client Vertical role will focus on driving revenue within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) & Retail verticals. This person will work with the various teams within DISH Media (Sales, Data, Analytics, Client Service, Research, among others) to elevate the sales strength of the CPG vertical. You will be a part of a Client Vertical team that represents DISH Media in the marketplace mostly with client direct decision makers but also at industry events and agency meetings (where appropriate). Additionally, you will join the Account Executives on their agency sales calls where needed to move business forward and drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the Retail & CPG verticals. They are the resident DISH Media expert for the CPG & Retail verticals

  • Role will primarily focus on driving addressable revenue for their verticals for both DISH and Sling

  • Work daily / weekly with agency teams on all accounts within their verticals

  • Develop a target list for all accounts and a communication plan of action for each account

  • Work on the front end with agency sales teams to develop the appropriate strategy on how to attack each account

  • Attend all appropriate internal DISH Media meetings (Holding Company meetings, Monthly Sellers meetings, CVT Meetings, etc.)

  • Own all client direct relationships within the CPG & Retail verticals; determine who we know, and more importantly, who we don’t know, and build / execute a plan to get to them

  • Quickly develop a set of target lists of who we need to see in the first 6 months in role

  • Develop renewal / growth strategies for all existing accounts within your verticals

  • Create a strong new business pipeline within your vertical; new accounts, new brands within an existing relationship, additional ad product offerings, etc.

  • Work with the Analytics Team to craft “best in class” Case Studies and Post Campaign Reports

  • In working with the analysts, you will train them on how to upsell, how to turn bad results into a chance to educate a client, and the power of superior stewardship

  • Develop best practices for your verticals, including Vertical Decks, Client Facing Talking Points. Elevated Case Studies, etc.

  • Attend key industry conferences and events within your vertical; represent DISH Media at these events on panels and in developing relationships for key accounts within your verticals

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Requires 12+ years of related experience

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of national media measurement and currencies, research methodologies, and advanced advertising best practices (e.g. addressable, programmatic)

  • Experience working with audience measurement tools (Nielsen, comScore); and syndicated data (GfkMRI, Simmons, Scarborough)

  • Knowledge of Retail Networks and how CPG brands are utilizing CTV in this space to drive outcomes

  • Knowledge of analytics/forecasting platforms (e.g., Lake5 Media)

  • Background creating compelling stories that drive sales strategy using various sources of data

  • Ability to analyze and translate data-based findings into clear, relevant, and actionable insights

  • Solid presentation and client interaction skills

  • Experience with Digital Video / TV / OTT metrics and familiarity with how TV media buying works

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $90,200.00/Year - $128,700.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
