Robert Half Accounts Payable Administrator in New York, New York

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Real Estate & Property industry, located in New York. This role is geared towards an individual with a knack for handling accounting tasks, specifically related to processing and verifying invoices, maintaining financial records, and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient entry and verification of invoices in the accounting system, ensuring up-to-date financial records.

• Organize and categorize incoming invoices into appropriate batches for streamlined data entry, enhancing workflow and reducing processing time.

• Investigate and address any unpaid or duplicate invoices by coordinating with vendors and internal departments.

• Ensure all invoice and bill payments are accurate and processed in a timely manner and in accordance with department standards.

• Maintain an orderly and accessible filing system for paid invoices, ensuring all documents are properly stored for future reference and audit purposes.

• Review check requests for required approvals prior to processing.

• Utilize a variety of accounting software to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Research information to provide accurate and timely solutions to internal staff and vendors.

• Ensure effective communication with staff and vendors by being present and able to address accounts payable related matters.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or in the field of Accounts Payable

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Strong data entry skills

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing, High-Volume Invoicing, and Enter Vendor Invoices

• Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to the job

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Knowledge of the real estate and property industry is a plus.
