POSITION DETAILS

Hunter Dance is a radically diverse community cultivating an expansive dance education driven by persistent inquiry, to elevate dance as a vehicle for positive change in the world.

The department is seeking an an Administrative Coordinator. This position will report to, and serve as liaison to the Chair of the Dance Department, supporting projects, initiatives, and activities that impact the department. Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

· Develop and maintain efficient office functions and procedures such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments;

· Collect data for, prepares, and distributes key, management documents and reports relative to faculty, personnel, scheduling and budget, using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software;

· Update office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections;

· Maintain department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing;

· Administer special projects, events, and efforts to improve unit effectiveness;

· Supervise and coordinate the duties of office staff and student workers;

· Conduct internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities;

· Provide basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department. .

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree required. A strong administrative background including records management, preservation and protection (familiarity with FERPA guidelines); experience with budget management; strong writing/editing skills;strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience with instructional technology and new technological resources relative to the department; Aminimum of two (2) years of administrative experience. Priority is given to candidates with direct experience in working in dance or the arts.

· High degree of professionalism and personal integrity to maintain confidentiality.

· Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team setting with diverse staff of all levels.

Proficient with MS Access, MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat (create PDF forms and templates), MS Word, MS Excel (charts & graphs), MS Outlook, Dropbox, Google Suite and Canva.

Salary commensurate with education and experience. ($60,394-$65,946)
