Overview

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Director, Dean’s Office Affairs in the Office of the Dean. The Assistant Director will collaborate with the team to manage global communications and operational logistics. They will provide project management support across the Dean’s communications, briefings, scheduling, and travel. The Assistant Director will author the Dean’s correspondence and communications and serve as a liaison for a wide range of internal and external stakeholder groups. They will manage Dean’s Office operations including the Dean’s calendar, travel itineraries, daily briefing book, event briefings and remarks, and managing constituent inquiries via email and phone on the Dean’s behalf. The Assistant Director will also manage special projects in partnership with the Chief of Staff and support events sponsored by the Dean’s Office including receptions, conferences, programs, and meetings with faculty, board members, donors, and corporate partners.



Responsibilities

The selected candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant experience with drafting and editing external communications, office operations, events, project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to develop, implement, and interpret policies and procedures and communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to a diverse population is required along with excellent problem-solving skills, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Knowledge of standard office software is also required.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $67,091.00 to USD $82,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
