Duties: Assist managers of Syndicate financial trading/investment desk in the underwriting process of debt and equity transactions (60%)•Work with Syndicate managers on new issue equity and fixed-income financial transactions including, but not limited to, order aggregation, allocation, and post-mortem financial analysis processes. •Ensure seamless execution of debt and equity transactions while working closely with the Client, Sales, and Trading teams and other Syndicate managers. •Provide day-to-day assistance for the referral relationship with major bank client of firm. •Prepare ad-hoc client presentations including market updates, new issue indications, and secondary comparable levels. •Liaise with counterparts at joint bookrunning banks to confirm orders, allocations, billing, and delivering trades, leveraging IssueNet and Bloomberg for efficient execution and improved communication. •Create financial investment transaction case studies based on financial analysis that detail new issue pricing, diverse firm participation, and secondary market investment performance for clients.Assist on various capital markets assignments (20%) •Analyze and maintain revenue and trading participation and industry-specific MWBE (Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise) revenue totals. •Assist Managing Directors (MDs) and Vice Presidents (VPs) in preparing and updating marketing materials and pitch books for existing and prospective clients. •Participate in due diligence processes for debt and equity capital markets transactions.Provide analytical support on corporate finance assignments and client-specific requests (20%)•Analyze merger and acquisition announcements and shareholder payout strategies including buybacks and dividends, cost of capital, and optimal capital structure strategies employed by clients. •Deliver analytical support and financial research data while utilizing financial analysis and programming languages to develop and update client presentations. •Analyze and utilize IPO (Initial Public Offering) lock-up periods, IPO discounts, and spinoffs and carve-out financial investment research. •Analyze, maintain, and update weekly and monthly financial models.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics plus 2 years of experience in Financial Analyst type of positions. Required Skills: Must have experience working with the following financial analysis skills, strategies and technologies: financial investment securities and strategies including optimal capital structure, optimal cash balances, valuation methodologies, payout strategies, funding strategies, security pricing, interest rate modeling, liability management, credit modeling, merger probabilities, Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), Fama-French model, and event analysis; financial analysis techniques including Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression, penalized regression, logistic regression, Vector autoregression, Bayesian method, random effects/hierarchical models, principal component analysis (PCA)/factor analysis, and discounted cash flow (DCF) model; PowerPoint; Excel including complex Excel formulas; Bloomberg terminal functions; programming languages including Python and R; Thomson One/Refinitiv, S&P Capital IQ, and Credit and Equity research platforms; IssueNet platform; executing debt and equity transactions including in book building and allocation processes; and presenting client market updates, including providing new issue pricing indications and conducting secondary comparable analysis.

Minimum Salary: 120,000 Maximum Salary: 150,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
