What you'll do

This role will provide support to the Business Intelligence (BIC) team and the Strategy and Business Development Group (SBDG) in managing and fulfilling data requirements. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in English speaking and writing.

The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach, being able to work both independently and in a team setting. This role requires the ability to anticipate the ever-changing requirements of client groups, efficiently handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines, and maintain a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

The Business Intelligence Data Specialist - Data is full time position is in our New York, NY office. Paid relocation is not available for this position.

  • Ensure consistent and accurate data pulls, updates, and edits in line with business requirements.
  • Interface with internal and external sources to obtain new profiles, reports, and third-party research.
  • Utilize a variety of data and research platforms, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, internal databases, and other relevant systems.
  • Collaborate with external research entities to guarantee the punctual delivery and quality of various types of research, profiles, and reports.
  • Ensure organized and categorized storage of data and supporting files in designated repositories.
  • Update and refresh templates to be shared internally and among third party supporting services.
  • Maintain logs and databases to reflect current project status.
  • Gather, compile, and organize materials for weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Distribute and archive notes, findings, or decisions from meetings.
  • Engage in other ad-hoc pertinent tasks, duties, and responsibilities.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with preference for administrative services/telecommunications/business.
  • Prior experience as a file clerk or data management is an advantage.
  • Experience working with file-keeping software or cloud storage is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to systematically manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities and able to resolve issues under tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to delivering accurate and high-quality work.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

Employees will also receive a generous paid leave policy including vacation/personal time starting at 5.67 hours per pay period, sick time up to 80 hours annually, parental leave, and twelve holidays.

The hourly range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $30/hr. - $36/hr. with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
