  • Salary Range: $62,400 - $65,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary:

A new full-time position is available for a Clinical Research Coordinator with strong interpersonal skills to join an exciting research project on women and heart disease in the Division of Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and interviewing of participants for a cardiovascular research study.
  • Collecting survey and laboratory data.
  • Performing data entry.
  • Conducting follow-up visits with participants, and tracking participant outcomes.
  • Assisting with manuscript preparation, study reports, presentations, and other general research activities.
  • Lead the day-to-day management of a primary research project.
  • Participate as necessary in other related projects.
  • Maintain study records.
  • Provide oversight and disbursement of participant stipends.
  • Coordinate IRB materials.
  • Interact with personnel from other related research projects.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus 2 years of related experience.
  • A Master's degree can substitute in part for the required experience.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of basic business software applications required (i.e., Microsoft Office and Excel).

Other Requirements

  • Participation in the medical surveillance program:
    • Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
    • Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
  • Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
