The Market Intelligence Commercial Sales team spans across all 4 of our business lines:

  • Capitol IQ Solutions – our desktop solutions

  • Credit & Risk Solutions – products and services in credit and other risk categories that intersect credit

  • Data & Insights - data, news, research, events, and advisory

  • Enterprise Solutions – bringing regulatory compliance, software, services, and expertise together

Responsibilities : * *

Inside/Outside Sales  

  • Identify new opportunities within the designated territory 

  • Establish appointments with senior executives of these organizations 

  • Build and execute sales campaigns and host clients at events (e.g. conferences, dinners)

  • Coordinate and lead sales demonstrations to drive growth through renewals upselling and new business acquisition

  • Maintain focused approach to daily sales activity pipelines and systems based workflow (i.e. Salesforce.com)  

  • Collaborate across the overall Commercial Organization (Customer Success Managers, Customer Migration Associates)

  • Secure the executed contract and coordinating the transition of new clients to the Relationship Management group. 

     Account Management  

  • Proactive outreach to assigned accounts to ensure client satisfaction through thorough understanding of customers’ workflow  

  • Assess clients' needs for new opportunities and work to close greenfield sales 

  • Ability to excel in a matrixed environment by coordinating with Prospecting, Customer Success, and Marketing to promote book of business growth 

  • Manage incoming calls and e-mails from assigned accounts 

Business Management 

  • Design and implement training on the diagnostic sales approach for new and tenured Commercial Team members.  

  • Travel regularly with Sales Executives and Relationship Managers to reinforce diagnostic sales concepts and other skills.   

  • Observe sales calls, product demonstrations, and client training sessions.  

  • Provide mentoring and initiate training plans, in collaboration with managers. Make program recommendations to managers and other partners based on common feedback/observations. 

Client Services 

  • Provide client support via phone, email and other mediums  

  • Make suggestions in regard to product usability, presentation, and data quality 

  • Partner with product teams on timely and thorough testing of our products, with an eye toward the client experience 

Customer Success: 

  •  Drives continuous service improvement with product adoption and usage growth.  

  • Educate and spread awareness within the client-base about our capabilities to increase usage, leveraging the knowledge of product specialists Increase adoption/usage by focusing on distinct users to increase usage and overall increase in number of users 

  • Provide platform, product functionality and new release training (on-site or virtually) specific to a user job function, liaise with product management team to master new product enhancements and relay client feedback on an ongoing basis. 

Relationship Management: 

  • Manages existing business base. Uses relationships with existing accounts to grow and retain business to meet or exceed sales goals.  

  • Focuses on retaining business by ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Communicates with clients regarding significant issues and directs their resolution.  

  • Uses client feedback to generate integrated client solutions and product improvements to improve revenue. 

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Finance, Economics, or related field preferred).

  • Strong presentation, multitasking, and customer service skills.

  • Proven record of maintaining strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs, and maintaininga high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Exceptional listening skills, ability to articulate ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner.

  • Demonstrate sound ability to analyze client information quickly, respond logically, and use data to influence client purchase decisions.

  • Strong MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills are required, and any knowledge of CRM databases (such as Salesforce.com) and data visualization tools (such as Microsoft PowerBI) would be advantageous.
