Job Overview:

The Compliance & Reporting Specialist will be trained in and responsible for maintaining compliance with export, HAZMAT, and data privacy laws as part of a team. The Compliance & Reporting Specialist will liaison with various departments within the company, including the different warehouses, the Traffic Department, Buying Department, IS department, and Web Content team to ensure compliance in these areas. Auditing of these departments to ensure compliance may be required as well.

Other areas of compliance may be added to the responsibilities of the Compliance Associate as assigned by the manager of the compliance department.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Helps ensure B&H is compliant with the various laws and regulations which apply to the business

  • Helps with internal auditing for export compliance, HAZMAT regulation compliance, and data privacy compliance within B&H.

  • Helps operate training for various departments to ensure that the appropriate employees are made aware of the requirements affecting compliance in their area.

  • Attends relevant trainings and conferences to ensure up to date knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Communication, oversight, and training at local warehouses

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

  • Knowledge of HAZMAT rules and/or data privacy regulations a plus
