Salary Range: $189,900.00 - $213,900.00

Position Summary

The Research Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine will lead the operational and administrative efforts of a growing research division. This role will serve as the point of contact for all research related matters and will have the opportunity to actively contribute to and shape the future of this division.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Research Division’s operations.

  • Oversee and manage various research programs within the department and ensure the completion of the Division’s long and short-term priorities.

  • Manage the process of hiring, onboarding, and integrating new recruits and their teams.

  • Coordinate with the Grants Management Office and Grants Administrator to ensure timely preparation and submission of grant applications, ensuring compliance with funding agency guidelines.

  • Liaise with administrative leadership in other divisions within the Department of Emergency Medicine to assure collaboration and mutual awareness of goals and ongoing projects/initiatives.

  • Organize regular stakeholder meetings with research and non-research faculty.

  • Oversee online and offline communication efforts for the division.

  • Ensure appropriate support for faculty by coordinating with existing resources for data collection and analysis.

  • Act as the first point of contact for any research related matter in the Department.

Education

  • Master’s or PhD in Management, Public Health or Biomedical Sciences.

Experience

Proven experience in research program management within an academic setting.

Strong understanding of grant application processes and experience with grant management.

Experience with communication strategies and public dissemination.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of research regulations and ethical considerations.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
